New Orleans Running of the Bulls, courtesy of The Big Easy Rollergirls

Now that Essence Fest has come and gone, it’s time to move to the next major event in the city… The New Orleans version of Pamplona’s The Running of the Bulls. Our version involves drinking copious amounts of alcohol while being chased by the Big Easy Rollergirls equipped with ~soft~ bats and other material that will maim but won’t threaten your life. It’s a whole hell of a lot of fun and it’s certainly a vision not to be missed. If you’re in town this weekend, come on down to the Sugar Mill at 8am on Saturday. Make sure you wear white with a bright red scarf!! ~ clndstnSan Fermin in Nueva Orleans (SFNO) is an annual festival in New Orleans featuring an Encierro (bull run), which replicates and pays homage to the world famous Encierro of Pamplona, Spain, or “The Running of the Bulls”, only our bulls are none other than members of the Big Easy Rollergirls and select participants from other rollerderby leagues across the country!San Fermin in Nueva Orleans will be celebrated from July 12 – July 15.REGISTER NOW!Thursday, July 12: Marques de Caceres Wine Dinner at 7 on FultonFriday, July 13: El Txupinazo at The Sugar MillSaturday, July 14 @ 8 AM SHARP:El Encierro (Running of the Bulls) at The Sugar MillSaturday evening: Fiesta de Pantalones at The 12 Bar on FultonSunday, July 15: El Pobre de Mi at The 12 Bar on Fultonvia.]]
