New Orleans Corporate Event Planner

The Finest Event Planners in New Orleans, Louisiana

Producing events in New Orleans is always an ‘experience’. What I love the most about the city is just how unique it is. Tourists and travelers are eager to savor the senses that are offered – the flavors, sounds, spirit, texture, and architecture that you just don’t find in a lot of other parts of the country.

New Orleans Corporate Event - Second Line Brass Band
We keep this in mind when we design & produce our events. As corporate event planners in New Orleans, we consider it our responsibility to help our client & their guests immerse themselves in the wonders of the ‘City that Care Forgot’. The first step is to find the right venue – it’s rare that we produce events in a hotel because, as we see it, that hotel could be anywhere, USA. We want the vibe of the space to represent New Orleans from the jump. Not only that, but often times, we will start our events off with a second line parade; which involves picking attendees up at the convention center or their host hotel with a full police escort and a brass band who walks everyone from Point A to Point B — the event location.

 Savor the Flavors

New Orleans Corporate Event - La Madeleine table decorUpon arrival, you are greeted by a venue with local architecture that has the look & feel of the city. Every step you take is intended to reinforce how distinctly different New Orleans is from anywhere else. Once the venue has drawn you in, it’s time for you and your guests to savor the event. Great cocktails, some of which were ‘invented’ in New Orleans, including the Sazerac, Pimm’s Cup, Ramos Gin Fizz, Brandy Milk Punch, and the legendary Hurricane; we will often suggest that you offer a couple signature cocktails as a subtle indication of our host city. And next on the list is a broad assortment of delicious  foods. Gumbo, Jambalaya, Etouffee, Muffaletta, and of course, Poboys. Followed by Bread Pudding or – a Beignet Bar with a variety of toppings. These are just the local foods to consider – we’re also sensitive to personal diet & preference and ensure that there are a good amount of options and we love to work with restaurants and caterers who produce top tier foods. It should also be noted that we are extremely focused on quality of service. We qualify all our vendors to ensure their service level & commitment is a match to our team. Vendors who are not easy to work with are swiftly removed from our internal list.

Not to be overlooked is the design & decor. New Orleans tends to be a bit of a casual town and as such, the majority of our events are buffet & passed hors d’oeuvres as opposed to a formal seated meal. Our team spends a lot of time determining the proper amount of tables & seating based on the group we are hosting. And we love to bring in unusual elements to enhance the overall guest experience. Driftwood, Spanish moss, gas lanterns, feathers, masks, beads in brand colors, these are really simple examples that give the distinct feeling of being in New Orleans.

 Immersive Talent

New Orleans Corporate Event - Jazz BandOur next task is to entertain you & your guests. This city has no shortage of entertainers and makers of all sorts. Our stable of music acts varies from traditional jazz, to modern jazz, gypsy swing bands that come with professional swing dancers, cajun bands and DJ’s. My personal love of venues & architecture is followed closely by my passion for creative talent – and giving that talent exposure to the mainstream (when appropriate). Sometimes, the entertainment needed is simple background music in order to encourage business associates to mix, mingle, and chat without having to shout over the music. This is particularly true when it comes to corporate events in New Orleans (and anywhere for that matter). Our performers are true professionals who understand that in many cases, the main concern is that guests are able to interact with each other. When it comes to entertainment, one of our favorite things to do is to add an element of surprise to the event. I like to have some sort of change in the flow of the event every 15-20 minutes.

New Orleans Corporate Event - aerialistWhen we want to kick things up a notch, we will introduce fan dancers (burlesque with a bit more clothes on); aerialists – they really can make a heck of a ‘wow’ moment when scripted properly; a drum line – our favorite drum line can REALLY get the crowd going; circus acts that include sword swallowers & jugglers & fire breathers; champagne pourers on lollipop stands; flash mob dancers; local Mardi Gras dance troupes; or a local high school marching band – talk about commanding attention. It’s hard to go wrong with any of these options when you want to really make a big impact.

Finish with a Bang

And finally, depending on budget, we will suggest an after party option if it flows with the overall event. One of our favorite venues has a speakeasy in its basement and it’s such a blast to lead people from the grandeur of the upstairs theatre to the downstairs speakeasy jazz club. It’s a great way to end the evening ~ not everyone will stay, but it’s that last stop for guests who aren’t quite ready to head back to their hotel.
